Several aspects interrupt this improvement process for students, for the same reason this research objective is to describe the use of the journal as a didactic resource to improve writing skills in English language teaching students. The methodology applied to this research is qualitative, phenomenological. The information was collected through interviews based on opened-ended questions that were directed to teachers of the Universidad Estatal Peninsula de Santa Elena. The analysis of the research results was collected through keywords according to the interviews.
