dc.description Games used in the classrooms contribute to strengthen values, such as honesty, loyalty, cooperation, solidarity with peers, or in group. Games play an educational role helping students to develop motor, mental, social, and emotional skills, as well as to stimulate their interest. Games could be helpful to improve the memory of adults, and can reinforce the level of potential development, not only children can learn by playing, adult learning can be stimulating and exciting too. In addition, it‟s a good tool that allows students to discover the pleasure of doing things and being with classmates. Nowadays, education demands new strategies to teach and learn, one of these is using teaching games to acquire English as a foreign language. It´s for this reason that, Teaching games to acquire English as a foreign language to students of Escuela de capacitación del Sindicato de Choferes Profesionales de Santa Elena, Santa Elena Province, period 2014-2015, is aimed to become a good tool for the teacher to reinforce learning of the English language in the students of Escuela de capacitación del Sindicato de Choferes Profesionales de Santa Elena. The main objective of this research is to design and re-create activities with the games as a main element. The benefits are: The improvement of the teacher-student interaction, the increase of the spirit of collaboration, the development of strong social relations and the increase of students‟ skills, all these elements will encourage students utilize all four skills in order to acquire English as a foreign Language. es_ES
