dc.description.abstract Due to the fact that it occurs in real time, English language listening comprehension is regarded as one of the most challenging abilities to assess and develop. Given that the pupils are not always exposed to the language, it is challenging to ascertain the method each student employs to hear spoken information. This study looked at various sources, including TED Talks, where we can find linguistic components like lexicon, grammar, phonology, and pragmatics as well as cultural components like dialects and idioms. These components enable the creation of learning activities for the examination of the listening comprehension sub-skills. It was shown that there was an improvement in the management of the sub-skills across the study groups (control and experimental) compared to the pre-test. However, individuals who attended TED Talks improved not just in comparison to the pre-test but also in comparison to the outcomes of the control and experimental groups, with the latter group performing better. To raise the level of listening in students in any level, TED Talks and other resources of a similar nature should be utilized in conjunction with a study of the sub-skills. es
