Abstract: This project was created so that the learning of the English language through gamification does not have didactic barriers in the educational environment, being more interesting and motivational for children. Fulfilling the objective of this research: to analyze the importance of gamification as a methodological strategy in the classroom with second grade children from the Unidad Educativa John F. Kennedy and the main problem: what is the importance of gamification and the methodological strategy in the learning process with the second-grade children of the Unidad Educativa John F. Kennedy? Using a qualitative method with a descriptive design, without manipulation or comparison between its variables so that the Focus Group technique applied to teachers achieves better results in socialization. Therefore, it was shown that the game mechanics are an educational and emotional challenge that allows students to better prepare themselves in the academic activities of the English language.
