dc.descriptionThis paper illustrates in a general and schematic way the cultural manifestations related to ethnicity and oral memory of the people in La Libertad in 2014. It does no intend to show a complete and detailed analysis of these aspects, however it seeks to highlight important cultural dynamics of the region. The research focused on ethnical construction and in the registration of cultural data of intangible heritage, understanding it as the practices, representations, expressions, knowledge and techniques that are transmitted from generation to generation among groups and individuals. The overall objective is to present some records of oral memory that conform part of the local intangible heritage, prioritizing a wide range of views on memory and social praxis of minorities, which often are left voiceless in the official history and without evidence in theoretical writing. To do this, an ethnographic study was necessary. The local testimonies provided key information for the reconstruction of their social, cultural, economic and ecological history. This research rescues cultural dynamics that are relevant in the construction of their social identity. Therefore, the registration of intangible heritage in La Libertad is not only the key for cultural safeguard, it also is a tool to build the basis for diagnostic, research and planning safeguard lines, providing transmission, recovery and dissemination of cultural knowledge in the context of constructing a plurinational and intercultural State.en
dc.descriptionEl presente artículo muestra de manera general y esquemática las manifestaciones culturales relacionadas a la etnicidad y memoria oral de los habitantes del cantón La Libertad recopiladas en el año 2014. No se pretende hacer un análisis detallado y completo sobre dichos aspectos, no obstante busca resaltar algunas de las dinámicas culturales más relevantes de la región. El eje de la investigación se centró en la construcción étnica y en el registro de datos culturales de patrimonio inmaterial, entendiendo a éste como los usos, representaciones, expresiones, saberes y técnicas que se transmiten de generación en generación entre grupos e individuos. El objetivo general consiste en presentar algunos registros de la memoria oral que forma parte del patrimonio inmaterial del cantón priorizando la amplia gama de visiones sobre la memoria y praxis social de las minorías, las que muchas veces se han quedado sin voz en la historia oficial y sin evidencia en la escritura teórica. Para ello, se realizó un estudio etnográfico, donde los habitantes del lugar son los actores principales y quienes proporcionaron la información dominante sobre su historia social, cultural, económica y ecológica, rescatando las dinámicas culturales que son relevantes en la construcción de su identidad. El registro de patrimonio inmaterial del cantón La Libertad no solo forma parte clave del proceso para la salvaguardia del mismo, sino también se constituye como una herramienta que permite construir las líneas base para diagnósticos, investigaciones y planificaciones de salvaguardia, aportando en la transmisión, valorización y difusión de los conocimientos culturales en el marco de construcción de un Estado Plurinacional e intercultural.es
