dc.descriptionThe present research work arises from the need to explore the evolution of the training offered by the Continuing Education Center at USPE as well as the perspective that they may have in strengthening human talent at the provincial and national levels to characterize the evolution of the academic offer of the (CEC) at the Peninsula State University of Santa Elena (UPSE) in the period 2018-2022; the methodology used was a documentary investigation through the compilation and analysis of reports filed in the CEC archives, the next step was the analysis, synthesis, as well as the use of the comparative method and theoretical generalization. The importance of this research is based on the presentation of reliable statistical information that makes it possible to visualize which have been the most widely accepted courses, as well as the courses that have not reached the expectations raised and thus efficiently project future successful planning. The areas of knowledge in which the majority of the courses were offered were Education (47%), Social Sciences, Business Education and Law (20%), and General Programs (17%), being the courses with the highest demand during the 2018 period. 2022 were the Higher Education access courses (Ser Bachiller, EAES, and Transformar) and the English, French, and Italian. It is necessary to generate a training culture of Continuing Education in the community, for which the implementation of publications will be a must, as well as disseminating experiences and research products in this regard.en
dc.descriptionEl presente trabajo surge de la necesidad de explorar la evolución de las capacitaciones ofertadas por el Centro de Educación Continua (CEC) de la Universidad Estatal Península de Santa Elena (UPSE), así como su prospectiva en el fortalecimiento del talento humano a nivel provincial y nacional, esta tiene como finalidad caracterizar la evolución de la oferta académica en el período 2018-2022. La metodología utilizada fue la investigación documental a través de la recopilación y análisis de informes, en el que se realizó síntesis, por medio del método comparativo y generalización teórica. Se fundamenta en la información estadística, para visibilizar los cursos de mayor aceptación, así como los que no cubrieron las expectativas planteadas, con el fin de proyectar futuras planificaciones; las áreas de conocimiento en las cuales se ofertaron en su mayoría fueron cursos sobre educación (47%), ciencias sociales, educación comercial y derecho (20%) y programas generales (17%); los cursos con mayor demanda fueron de acceso a la Educación Superior (Ser Bachiller, EAES y Transformar) y los de idiomas inglés, francés e italiano. Por lo que surge la necesidad de generar una cultura de capacitación, de educación continua en la comunidad, por medio de la implementación de publicaciones, difundir experiencias y productos de investigación al respecto.es
