| dc.description | Access to clear and timely information on sexuality, in addition to being a right, has become a complex issue of interest in adolescent populations, so this article presents the results of one of the objectives of the Sexperto study: student experience. District Educational Institutions of the Town of Usaquén in Bogotá D.C. which inquires about sources of information on sexual and reproductive health of school adolescents, as well as the access barriers identified by the participants. Qualitative, descriptive study developed in educational institutions in Bogotá, Colombia, through semi-structured interviews aimed at students between 15 and 18 years of age, who participated voluntarily. Among the main results, it is found that adolescents question the quality and relevance of the information, confirm the mother as the main source of information; presence of taboos and prejudices, lack of training both in the content and in the approach to these issues are described as barriers. In conclusion, mothers and fathers, because they are considered a source of information, as well as teachers and health personnel, require training to address sexual and reproductive health, highlighting the importance of knowing the opinion of adolescents to harm participants in their learning. | en |
| dc.description | El acceso a información clara y oportuna sobre sexualidad además de ser un derecho, se ha constituído como un tema complejo y de interés en las poblaciones adolescentes, por lo que este artículo expone los resultados de uno de los objetivos del estudio Sexperto: experiencia de estudiantes Instituciones Educativas Distritales de la Localidad de Usaquén de Bogotá D.C. que indaga sobre fuentes de información en salud sexual y reproductiva de adolescentes escolarizados, así como las barreras de acceso identificadas por las y los participantes. Estudio cualitativo, descriptivo desarrollado en instituciones educativas de Bogotá, Colombia, a través de entrevistas semi-estructuradas dirigidas a estudiantes entre 15 a 18 años de edad, quienes participaron de forma voluntaria. Dentro de los resultados principales, se encuentra que las y los adolescentes, cuestionan la calidad y pertinencia de la información, reconocen a la madre como principal fuente de información; presencia de tabúes y prejuicios, falta de capacitación tanto en el contenido como en el abordaje de estas temáticas se describen como barreras. En conclusión, madres y padres, por ser considerados fuente de información, así como docentes y personal de salud, requieren capacitación para abordar la salud sexual y reproductiva, resaltando la importancia de conocer la opinión de las personas adolescentes para hacerles partícipes de su aprendizaje. | es |
