dc.descriptionAt present the windshield plays a fundamental role in the vehicle. Due to the increase of tariffs and price in auto parts, the final consumer seeks to satisfy his need with locally manufactured auto parts, so it is necessary to know if the windshield manufacturers deliver products that comply with the minimum safety measures. So, 3 different windshield samples were selected, which were two local samples and one imported and were subjected to impact tests, based on the Ecuadorian regulation INEN 1669 and comparing the characteristics of the same with international standards. Three impact tests were performed: steel sphere, mannequin head and metal dart. At the end of these trials, the three manufacturers achieved positive results; mainly in the tests with steel sphere and metal dart where the results are purely visual; However, in the test with the head of the mannequin it is possible to see a notable difference in the results, since they can be analyzed and interpreted in a different way since they are not visual. Once obtained and compared the results, it was determined that the three samples approve all the tests performed, however, there are samples that present better characteristics.en
dc.descriptionDebido al incremento de aranceles y precio en autopartes, el consumidor final busca satisfacer su necesidad con autopartes fabricadas localmente, por lo que es necesario conocer si los fabricantes de parabrisas automotrices entregan productos que cumplan con las medidas mínimas de seguridad. De manera que se seleccionó 3 muestras diferentes de parabrisas las cuales fueron dos muestras locales y una importada y se las sometió a pruebas de impacto, basándose en la normativa ecuatoriana INEN 1669 y comparando las características de la misma con normas internacionales. Se realizaron tres pruebas de impacto: esfera de acero, cabeza de maniquí y dardo de metal. Al finalizar dichos ensayos, los tres fabricantes lograron resultados positivos; principalmente en las pruebas con esfera de acero y dardo de metal donde los resultados son netamente visuales; sin embargo en el ensayo con cabeza de maniquí es donde se puede apreciar una notable diferencia en los resultados ya que al no ser visuales se los puede analizar e interpretar de otra manera. Una vez obtenidos y comparados los resultados, se determinó que las tres muestras aprueban todos los ensayos realizados, sin embargo, existen muestras que presentan mejores características.es
