dc.descriptionEcuador being one of the largest banana producers worldwide, it has managed to place the fruit in different international markets, the income generated covers a significant percentage of the Gross Domestic Product, creating sources of employment and economic significance for the primary sector. Given this, the research aims to carry out a comparative analysis of exports of organic and conventional bananas, and their impact on the trade balance of Ecuador, 2018. The method used is based on the application of econometric modeling, with data obtained from the Central bank of Ecuador. With these proportional values, it was possible to observe the behavior of a moderate commercial dynamics, the results show comparatively that the two semesters of 2018 have different movements of growth and decrease, the application of the Regression together with the coefficient of determination shows that exports affect in the Trade Balance incorporating more factors. The main conclusions deduce that the commercialization of banana fruit will continue to be one of the main income items, the Trade Balance continues to be in deficit due to the greater number of imports of other products that exceed the entry of foreign currency, however, exports with time generates balances that allow taking advantage of comparative and competitive advantagesen
dc.descriptionSiendo Ecuador uno de los mayores productores de banano a nivel mundial, ha logrado colocar la fruta en diferentes mercados internacionales, los ingresos generados cubren un porcentaje destacado del Producto Interno Bruto, creando fuentes de empleos y una significancia económica del sector primario. Ante esto, la investigación tiene el objetivo de realizar un análisis comparativo de las exportaciones de banano orgánico y convencional, y su incidencia en la balanza comercial de Ecuador, 2018. El método utilizado se basa en la aplicación de modelación econométrica, con datos obtenidos del Banco Central del Ecuador. Con éstos valores proporcionados, se permitió observar el comportamiento de una dinámica comercial moderada, los resultados demuestran comparativamente que los dos semestres del año 2018 tienen movimientos diferentes de crecimiento y decrecimiento, la aplicación de la Regresión junto al coeficiente de determinación demuestra que las exportaciones inciden en la Balanza Comercial incorporando más factores. Las principales conclusiones deducen que la comercialización de la fruta de banano seguirá siendo uno de los principales rubros de ingresos, la Balanza Comercial sigue siendo deficitaria por el mayor número de importaciones de otros productos que superan la entrada de divisas, sin embargo, las exportaciones con el tiempo generan balances que permiten aprovechar las ventajas comparativas y competitivas.es
