Abstract

Educational technology was integrated in the instruction where educators used technological tools, digital resources and virtual platforms to enhance their teaching-learning process. This research explored how educational technology develops the speaking skills in EFL learners. The study aimed to examine the English teachers’ perceptions at implementing technological resources focusing on its effectiveness. Additionally, the qualitative method was applied through questionnaires on Google Forms in EFL teachers who used educational technology as a strategy to make their classes more interactive. According to the results, some benefits were identified in which educators observed that students become more confident, and the oral expression was successful, losing shyness and fear to make mistakes. However, there were challenges that were necessary to keep in mind, which means that various suggestions were planted in order to achieve a satisfactory teaching process. As a conclusion, the results described that EFL instructors noted the development of the oral skills and students’ participation according to their answers.
