Abstract:
La parroquia San José de Ancón es reconocida históricamente por ser el primer lugar donde se extrajo petróleo en Ecuador, actualmente se desarrolla dentro de su territorio múltiples actividades económicas siendo
el emprendimiento una alternativa que genera desarrollo y bienestar a las familias. El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo identificar cómo incide el emprendimiento femenino en el desarrollo de la cabecera parroquial San José Ancón. Mediante un estudio exploratorio descriptivo se identificaron las principales características de los emprendimientos. Aplicando un instrumento de recolección de datos en este caso la encuesta y entrevista a mujeres emprendedoras se determinó el impacto del emprendimiento. Como resultados: el 38.5% de las emprendedoras son mujeres cuyas edades fluctúan entre 26 a 35 años compartiendo el primer lugar con emprendedoras mayores a 45 años, el nivel educativo predominante es el
bachillerato con un 53.8%. Las emprendedoras en un 61.5% no cuentan con afiliación algún tipo de seguro
médico la principal motivación para emprender fue la falta de recursos con un 42.3%. El 73% de los
emprendimientos tienen menos de 5 años y las actividades principales son relacionadas a vestimenta y alimentos. En conclusión, el emprendimiento femenino es una alternativa viable al desarrollo sin embargo en la cabecera parroquial San José de Ancón existe dificultades como el acceso a financiamiento y fomento de habilidades empresariales por lo que es necesario el apoyo financiero y la implementación de estrategias de formación que enriquezcan a las emprendedoras.
